@ianmiles The US economy is 52% larger than the EU. And our military is 10 time larger and better equipped then anything the EU could put together. So I'm sure they will stay friendly with the US and negotiate tariffs with our duly elected president.

BREAKING: Trump says he is not interested in negotiating with Europe over the tariffs and that he will not be lifting them “unless they pay us a lot of money on a yearly basis, number one for present but also for past.” The EU will see this as extortion. Europe and the US are no longer partners or allies. It’s only a matter of time before the European markets collapse. NATO is probably next.

@tombuduk Umsatzsteuer wird in Deutschland auf alle Waren (auch EU Ware) erhoben, da entsteht kein Nachteil für US Pordukte, heisst bei eingeführter Ware nur anders. Die Umsatzsteuer in Deutschland entspricht der Sales Tax in den USA die da auch auf jeden verkauften Artikel wird.

Im Grunde genommen hat #Trump mit den #Zöllen einen psychologischen Fehler gemacht. Hätte er nämlich gesagt: "Ok, die Zölle erhöhe ich von 2,5% auf 5% (die EU hat 10%!), dafür führe ich aber ab sofort auch eine Einfuhrumsatzsteuer von 19% ein (in USA nicht vorhanden, also 0%, dann hätte jeder in Deutschland gesagt: Ups 😳 Auf die Diskussionen dann hätte ich mich echt gefreut 😀
