5/5 Details are scarce but it looks like Dickson/Dixon Beattie was only 22 years old. He is buried in the 'Poor ground' in the City Cemetery. This means that not only is his grave totally unmarked, but also the exact location is not recorded. 💙🤍❤️

4/5 Only a few months later he passed away. An article in the Belfast Telegraph at the start of March 1910 mentions Dickson. It states that "death has claimed him at an early age, and just in the bloom of youth" and " one who gave such promise of a brilliant career"

2/2 ...died less than a fortnight after his 40th Birthday. The BCC burial records though state that he was only 38. Apparently it was from Tuberculosis. George is buried in the City Cemetery but again, like quite a few others, his final resting place is unmarked. ❤️🤍🩵

Today we remember Bill Gowdy who passed away on 16th March 1958. Bill played for Linfield from 1933 until December 1935 when he transferred to Hibs. In both his 2 full seasons at Windsor he helped the Blues lift the Gibson Cup 🏆 1/3
