Today we remember Tommy Frame who passed away on 22nd March 1964 (at the age of 63). Tommy was an ever-present player in Linfield's historic first Seven Trophy season of 1921/22. He played for the Blues between 1921 & 1932 and.... 1/2

5/5 Details are scarce but it looks like Dickson/Dixon Beattie was only 22 years old. He is buried in the 'Poor ground' in the City Cemetery. This means that not only is his grave totally unmarked, but also the exact location is not recorded. 💙🤍❤️

4/5 Only a few months later he passed away. An article in the Belfast Telegraph at the start of March 1910 mentions Dickson. It states that "death has claimed him at an early age, and just in the bloom of youth" and " one who gave such promise of a brilliant career"

A sad tale. Yesterday we remembered one of the club's early stars - George Willis. George passed away at a very young age - just 38 (or 40 depending on records) In one of the photos shown yesterday (An Idea's Supplement from 1910) the Linfield team was displayed in.... 1/5

2/2 ....Blues. He was Ulster Footballer of the Year in 1968 and also a Northern Ireland International. Sammy, who was only 59 when he passes was cremated at Roselawn. ❤️🤍🩵

Today we so remember Sammy Hatton who passed away on 20th March 1995 Sammy played for Linfield throughout the 60's winning every trophy available multiple times. One of the heroes of the historic 7 Trophy winning season of 1961/62, Sammy played around 400 times for the... 1/2

2/2 ...died less than a fortnight after his 40th Birthday. The BCC burial records though state that he was only 38. Apparently it was from Tuberculosis. George is buried in the City Cemetery but again, like quite a few others, his final resting place is unmarked. ❤️🤍🩵

3/3 ..was a very successful manager with Ulster United. Rab was one of the 4 famous Torrans brothers who where instrumental in Linfields early years - Rab (Ra), Tom (Ta), Sam (Sa) & Jim (Ja) Robert Torrans is buried in Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto, Canada ❤️🤍💙

Today we remember Rab Torrans who passed away 70 years ago (18th March 1956) in Canada. Rab played in Linfield's very 1st match in 1886, scoring 2 goals in the win over the well established Distillery Over the next 12 years Rab played for the Blues helping establish them.. 1/3

Today we remember Bill Gowdy who passed away on 16th March 1958. Bill played for Linfield from 1933 until December 1935 when he transferred to Hibs. In both his 2 full seasons at Windsor he helped the Blues lift the Gibson Cup 🏆 1/3

3/3 ....Brom he scored 100 goals in 174 appearances. As a dual international he played for both Ireland & Eire, scoring 5 goals for each. David Walsh settled in Torquay and passed away there on 14th March 2016 💙🤍❤️
