My 15yo decided to learn Japanese for fun. He spends hours making flash cards and practicing pronunciation and texts me random facts about linguistic history, numbers, characters, and I can’t stop thinking how goat don’t make cow.

@Yaggyslatin Language pedagogy/methodology is rooted in linguistic theory (Krashen, Vygotsky, Bakhtin, Freire, etc). The fields are deeply intertwined. Teachers and students would benefit from more collaboration between experts and practitioners on both “sides.”🙂
