@IranArmyMedia Don't get too cocky, you marry children to Grandpas. When one should be in grade school, and the other in a nursing home. I am not condoning anything that is happening. But sit this one out.

I read what Jesus said as a logical truth. The most important words ever spoken by a person. "You will know a tree by its fruit." I try as best I can to apply this. He was dealing with religious forces we can't even comprehend. I would not want to. I am certainly not going to continue religious zealotry. That is my whole point in talking to you. But it is time to go our separate ways on this. You believe what you want. Wishing you some harmony.

@ARavenbite @themopinomicon That is an answer at least. But you come into this world without pockets to hold any money. And you will leave this world without pockets to hold any money. He knew they were rich, and wanted to kill him, so he was messing with them, because they were greedy.

@LinguisticArk @themopinomicon I'm not answering a question to a misquoted verse. I'll tell you what I believe the actual passage in full context means No one can be saved by their own merit, only by the power and grace of God. It would be easier for 🐫🪡 than for a man to be saved based on his own merit 💯

Divorce lawyer James Sexton reveals a client won $50,000,000 and his wife immediately filed for divorce “He won the lottery he used to play the Powerball and he won like $50 million so after taxes it was $25 million and he was beyond thrilled until he got told yeah she gets half” “He was like wait why I bought the ticket I’m like you are one person in the eyes of the law if she won the lottery you’d get half of it,you won the lottery she gets half of it” “he was suddenly very motivated that maybe we should stay together but she was like I get half of 25 million and I don’t have to deal with you anymore see ya”

@LinguisticArk @themopinomicon Oh my goodness if you only go by what Jesus said then you're stuck with an ethnically exclusive Jewish religion (verse 24 here)🤦‍♂️ Tell me what outer darkness is if Jesus never said anything about eternal consequences The rapture is in Matthew 24. Of course you reject Paul 🤦‍♂️

You failed to tie to a single thing Jesus said. Mathew 24 is where Jesus explains the end times. From the feeling that is pervasive, to the events that are happening. He does not give a date, and says not even he knows. Also he does not say anywhere about "hell fire". He does explain baptism in fire in certain places. I take each book as a separate discourse. Like I said, I am not trying to stop you from believing what you want. The second Advent is dispensationalism. It isn't mentioned anywhere by Jesus himself. Rapture is dogma, not mentioned anywhere by Jesus himself. I feel like you are going to give me a pamphlet.

@LinguisticArk @themopinomicon Uhhhh well you tried to say the passage wasn't about the 2nd advent when that's clearly what was being referenced by Paul. I actually do my best to take verses in their proper and complete context. I'm not 100% perfect at it but I'm not proof-texter

You are doing what boomers do. Apply scripture to whatever situation you wish. Without using context. This was a literal argument between Paul and them. Over how to proceed. As an ex Christian hunter, Paul shouldn't have started waving swords around. While preaching "Grace". The same people who sing hymns in church about how they surrounded Jericho. Then slaughtered them. Are suddenly have shock that they leveled Palestine.

Paul was an ex zealot. Having Ben one myself. And you are currently one. It is not conducive to what Christ was actually doing. It was hard in the early days to separate from the religious orthodoxy. You can believe what you want. I am not trying to stop you. However when you are affecting this person with fear. That is why I stepped in. Do not fear Jesus.

@LinguisticArk @themopinomicon Jesus never said the prophecies of the Day of The Lord in the Old Testament were in any way inaccurate or invalid. Start in the Old Testament with this. It's 100% the SINGLE MOST prophesied event in the entire Bible

Listen first of all this is from Paul's perspective. He was trying to keep all the factions in line, while they preached. Also there were about 1,000 books written. The church, specifically King James's council chose 88, 66 of them modern Christians read. Jesus did not say this. He didn't say it like that anywhere. He talked about "causation" if you want to look that up.

@themopinomicon Now you are getting somewhere. If Jesus plagued certain groups. They wouldn't want any Jesuses here, now would they?

Did you know "Ben Adam" was a multiport phrase? Like "you the man" when ribbing your friends. "He's the man!" After doing something ultra cool. And "The Man" when the Messiah comes. You are right, he wasn't interested in being crowned to rule. As much as walking the path for everyone to follow.
