@multdems failed to pass a resolution ending US bombs being used in Gaza because a few can still wear people down to table it. My teenager was watching and has a new level low opinion of the party and the amoral apologists that hijack debates with disingenuous process complaining

@Surrealist888 @multdems Our bylaws have been written so Mult. Co. Dems is the only Oregon county party that self-restricts from endorsing in primaries and non-partisan races. Some “Dems” in the party don’t think we should get THAT political. Some of us have been trying to change that.

@MacSmiff I’m more worried what people promised to get the PPA endorsement. They are still betting on sabotaging the police accountability commission with the help of Rene and people riding his ugly coattails. They’re already talking about a veto over it for mayor and chief.

If only the Oregonian endorsements started with “This is our best chance to fight back reform…”, the rest of their inconsistent and backwards logic would make more sense. That’s why they support “law & order” candidates that selfishly break the law and violate election rules.

@wweek 1. All the goals of the compacts have been adopted. Telepractice /military spouses /info sharing/quick licenses 2. Any cheaper for out of state licenses pushes the cost onto the licensee who live and work here. 3. It creates a pseudo-government board unaccountable to Oregonians.

Thank you @multdems for hosting D1 candidates tonight. I’ve been a PCP for 15 years and have worked hard to get our platform and resolutions passed into law. We have many fake Dems out there and people should look for the candidates who show up every year, even when not running.

I need to figure out my last two ranks

Started out the night with our Centennial community parade. This is one of my favorite school board activities. I get to run around handing out candy and thanking families for their support. This is just part of supporting our young adults and showing up for them!

@pnwpolicyangel It was productive and professional for the time allotted although leadership was tight lipped. One D1 candidate that has a reputation for being cold and rude was just that. Some dude started talking “homeless industrial complex” and several us groaned and GTFO’d. I support both.

@LinnDavid I heard the CHAT event devolved into a huge fight of candidates pitting the programs against each other, is that true? If so that’s absurd because they’re both important

I was one of many candidates invited to CHAT by Portland Fire Bureau. It was informative and important for candidates to know about. For the city to cancel the PSR meeting because “the city doesn’t want to be political” is the city being REALLY political. wweek.com/news/2024/10/0…

Great meeting of the Centennial Community Association. We are growing and there may be an opportunity for us to take on a community space soon. Thank you to @steph4eastpdx for being the only candidate (other than me) to make it out to one of D1’s most populous neighborhoods.

The neighborhood had a “Free Tree” event scheduled in our local Freddy’s parking lot. Since no of us would ever cross a picket line we ended up at the abandoned bank across the street. We had some extra ice cream I was able to run across to the striking workers. We stand together

Although I was not a musician like my father he has always been an inspiration to me. When I was younger he was one of the organizers of the Portland John Lennon Memorial Canned Food Concert to benefit the Portland Sunshine Division. Imagine there’s no hunger.

Here I am, six years ago, pushing for the same things Portland needs today. I am one of the few candidates that has been fighting for Portland long before I was running, and I will still be fighting for Portland long after I leave office.

This story has so many parts of why Portland fails to house those in need. No one responsible for tracking or coordinating. Federal dollars spent without accountability. Laws passed but never enforced. Agencies confused and impotent. No community outreach. wweek.com/news/2024/08/0…

I’m working hard to make our public transit safe and affordable for the people who depend on it everyday. I have been that young Portland student and worker that didn’t always have the money in the account.

I saw PBOT handing these out at an event. They have a free Hop day pass, bus schedules, and an alternative transit map of SE Portland. So I called them up and got 100 to pass out at community events and to our working families.
