Important information regarding benefit payment dates for the New Year. If your payment is due on 1 January 2026, you will still be paid by that date. All benefits operate on different payment systems but you will not receive your payments later than the day it would normally be due. Jobs & Benefits offices and benefit telephone lines will be closed on 1 January. Online services and journal messages will be available but customers should expect delays to responses while offices are closed.
