Outnumbered, yet unbroken: At the Armada, at Trafalgar, at Rorke’s Drift, in the skies of Britain. Courage held where numbers failed. As long as the lion has teeth, we shall never surrender. 🦁🇬🇧

The EU has said it will maintain its diplomatic presence in Kiev unchanged, despite Russia's warnings. Well, apparently they've got diplomats to spare and need to trim the headcount.

On the whole Carol Vorderman / Crewkerne Gazette matter: We strongly defend our right to freedom of speech, artistic expression and political satire. The video Mrs Vorderman has taken issue with is plainly a work of satire, and its main target is the absurd image of politicians being pulled from a toilet bowl, not any serious claim about Mrs Vorderman herself. The Crewkerne Gazette produces high-quality AI satire and is widely recognised for doing so. Any suggestion that this was presented as anything other than satire is entirely false. Mrs Vorderman has described the video as “not satire”, but we are a satirical publisher, our work is understood in that context, and the material was clearly framed as such. The comparison with Spitting Image is a fair one. We do not use puppets; we use AI-generated characters which resemble the public figures being portrayed, though not always perfectly or realistically. Our AI satire is marked as satire precisely because we are conscious of the risks around this technology. With AI comes responsibility, and we take that responsibility seriously. In the video in question, no false factual claims are made about Mrs Vorderman. There is no sexual or obscene imagery, and nothing we consider to have crossed the line. It is also important to stress that the video was not sent to Mrs Vorderman directly. It was published to our own audience, who understand and enjoy the Gazette’s satirical format. We would also advise, in the strongest possible terms, that nobody gives Mrs Vorderman any grief over her comments. We strongly condemn threats, harassment, abuse or menacing language of any kind, and we ask people not to target her. It should also be noted that, following Mrs Vorderman’s public response, I have personally received threats and menacing messages from left-wing accounts associated with pro-Palestine politics. That is unacceptable too. Political satire is part of a free society. People are entitled to dislike it, criticise it or find it unfunny, but that does not make it unlawful, malicious or anything other than satire. Joshua Bonehill-Paine

Dear Mrs Vorderman, Thank you for your message. The video is plainly absurdist AI satire: a fictional toilet-unblocking sketch in which a plumber pulls out various political figures and archetypes. It is not presented as real, nor as an endorsement by you. You are a public figure active in political discourse, and the video forms part of our wider satirical commentary on British public life. We do not accept that we are obliged to remove it on the basis stated. However, any formal legal request can be sent to Crewkernegazette@gmail.com and will be considered properly. Kind regards, The Crewkerne Gazette

Carol Vorderman has a blocked toilet and calls for a plumber to come and unblock it. The plumber is Reform UK’s Robert Kenyon who quickly identifies the cause of the issue, but it’s no easy task. {satire}

🚨🚨 LEAKED: We’ve been informed that Manchester United F.C. are next in line for the Premier League title next season as the FA reportedly continue their “rotate the winner” policy. Sources say referees are already being briefed for the 2026/27 season.

@davidicke I'll be honest, after reading the data I was on the fence about this climate catastrophe but now I know big gay Dave is pushing it, that confirms it's a load of horseshit because all that guy does it talk utter nonsense.

@archer_rs While you're posting alarmist pictures published by a known dishonest government organisation, what did you expect? You're either rage baiting like every other grifter or you're a naive moron.

The level of ignorance here regarding climate change is simply astonishing. This is an existential threat to the human species and yet there are still some saying things like, "It's summer" and "Just a hot day" or "warmer when I was young" Incredible!

Today's temperatures are almost 10 degrees cooler than the entire Phanerozoic, since 541 million years ago. The temperature average is 18-26 degrees. Currently, it is 15 degrees. This reflects a rise of around 1.4 degrees in the 175 years since the end of the little ice age in Europe, in 1850. Earth has been in the late Cenozoic ice age for 34 million years, since the glaciation of Antarctica. It is still glaciated today. For the past 2.58 million years, Earth has been in the Quaternary glaciation, cycles of frozen climates with brief warm interglacial periods, which we have been in for 11,700 years. Coal has been used for warmth for several thousand years, and is a big part of the reason we have modern life at all. The entire catastrophic nature of the campaign of fear and distorted science is only 38 years old. It has fractured world stability and led to trillions of dollars being shifted away from sovereign nations in a feeding frenzy of hysteria - that has no scientific validity. This deliberate deception is costing the world $9.2 trillion a year, and should reach $275 trillion by 2050. It is the greatest Ponzi scheme in modern history.

It indicates that we're still coming out of an ice age for one thing, Bob. There are a multitude of other things like broader atmospheric shifts and wider weather patterns that span centuries etc. Lot's and lot's of really logical and obvious explanations. Paying the government trillions of pounds won't change a single thing though and you can take that to the bank.

Today has been the hottest day in May on record with Kew Gardens provisionally reaching 34.8°C - exceeding the previous highest May temperature in the UK by a full 2 degrees Celsius🌡️ This heat would be exceptional in the UK even in mid summer, let alone in May📈

The UK just “smashed” its May temperature record… but here’s the part the Met Office conveniently leaves out: The PREVIOUS record was set in 1922. That’s 104 years ago. Long before SUVs, private jets, or modern CO₂ emissions. Heathrow Airport didn’t even exist yet. The area was literally farmland and small villages. So if a 1922 heatwave could produce nearly identical temperatures in a world with ~130 ppm less CO₂, maybe, just maybe, natural variability plays a much bigger role than the panic merchants admit.

Temperatures at Heathrow have recently reached 33.5°C, provisionally beating the all-time May record

'Educated people' Teaching in the UK is not dominated by Oxbridge-style academic elites. A lot of comprehensive teachers come from ordinary universities and backgrounds, which reflects the purpose of comprehensives themselves — broad access rather than selective elitism. But your elitist sentiments have been noted.
