1/2 Deeply disturbed by the assault & racial abuse of a Pakistani doctor outside A&E in Limerick! In recent weeks, I’ve been contacted by more than four doctors who have faced racial attacks. Disturbingly, organised hate campaigns are being run on social media by certain groups.

The emergency response teams and the army should be brought in to check on rural areas and smaller towns where electricity has not been restored yet, to make sure people have food & medical aid. Generators should be supplied at least. #StormEowyn #StormÉowyn

@JeanPortley @mariajocano @theholymuggers There is no access yet because everything is dependent on electricity. No generator installed and no fire/timber, etc, shops asking cash and the house is designed for gas heating

@chris_murphy_ie @theholymuggers All planning failed when things went beyond 24 hours and for an uncertain period of time, especially with no Mobile networks and petrol/fuel.

@JeanPortley @LiqaDr @theholymuggers And if you really need power you can have an generator. The power outage was 2 days ago. I don't know where you live but most of the power outage was solved in a day

@mariajocano @JeanPortley @theholymuggers It has been 3 days, and the storm is over! The government just spread red alert news! Elite lives in larger cities, so no power shortage there. It would have made some sense if Dublin or other larger cities would have been without power/ mobile network for days like in towns.

@JeanPortley @theholymuggers Larger cities have no issues with power/Mobile networks, and smaller towns are facing a situation like war zones. How come storms have not impacted larger cities at all, and 800000 thousands of homes in smaller towns are still facing power shortage. Huge mismanagement!

@theholymuggers @LiqaDr There’s been so much damage done in Ireland, ESB must be overwhelmed. UK is sending some engineers . They’re only human, there’s a limit to how much work they can do .

@theholymuggers There was no plan in place in advance by ESB, and everything is still in limbo. No communication and support is being provided to old age communities living in smaller towns and suburbs whose life is under extreme threat with all this power shortage! They can't ask for help!

@mariajocano @JeanPortley @theholymuggers It can work for a few hours but not for days, especially when there is no Mobile networks and Petrol to seek any help. It's the worst ever experience for old age community and children with special needs who need electricity etc to run their breathing machines at home.
