I agree with the critics, this is the lowest skill era of sc2. I remember in 2015 when every terran had perfect splits, protoss never wasted forcefields and zerg never overdroned. (Or was it 2014?)

America is split down the middle arguing over whether climate change should be taken seriously; Denmark has political leaders in every direction yelling like auction participants, trying to convince the population that *they* are the most climate-friendly. It's a fun disparity.

If the only casters allowed to work were those players approved of, you could count them on one hand. Players have far more knowledge of the game and represent a minority of viewers, their criticism shouldn't be taken as gospel as it does not reflect the average viewer experience

@LiquidTLO If you want something different and find AI interesting I'd recommend 'Crystal Society.' It's told from the POV of the first AGI, and it's the most realistic story I've been able to find that depicts AI risk; it doesn't fall into any Hollywood tropes.

Some days I wish I could read Liu Cixin's Three Body Problem series again for the fist time. Set such a high bar for Sci Fi it's hard to scratch that itch now. Any recommendations for lesser known books? I've read a lot of Sci Find so the more obvious ones I probably read.

@LiquidTLO @languagehacker_ This was a major factor in my retirement. Feeling like you have little control over your own destiny is unnerving, and Blizzard has been especially bad in this regard. Streaming can help alleviate it, but at the end of the day, it's not enough.

@languagehacker_ I'm very sorry. As a long time competitor this was really upsetting. It's unfortunate that players are treated with so little respect, after all we plan our life based based off some expectations that the competitive systems we play in are consistent and make sense.
