@magsmac59 Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers. Surgery all went to plan still in recovery but waiting to be moved to the discharge ward so glad I’m getting home today 😊
Hello, my Twitter friends, if you're not too busy, could you say a wee prayer for my daughter @LisaDuff1711? She's in for surgery today, she's been struggling with pain & infections too long now, hopefully this surgery will alleviate that for her 🙏
Good morning everyone, looks like that's our summer well and truly over. What a miserable day, it's like a monsoon out there. Have a good day whatever you're doing.
@stomababe This is disgusting, your illness does not stop you being human, I have crohns with a stoma, my son was 5 when I was diagnosed and 8 when I had my op. He’s has been amazing and is my rock. Your amazing and stunning keep going xx
The month I give birth will be exactly 2 years since my life saving stoma operation in 2021. Let’s just hope on this occasion it doesn’t result in a two month stay! @GSTTnhs
@Glitterygutsx@OTB_Belfast I feel your pain, I’ve had my barbie butt for 2 years developed a sinus tract 4 mths later got an op to flatten them in feb and still not healed, still got leakage and bleeding and pain. Driving me insane 😩
@OTB_Belfast It's not bad enough for a and e and they wouldn't be able to sort it there anyways its too complex! 😩 local MP was really rude to me when we last spoke so won't be contacting them again either (regarding housing). X
Waited MONTHS for my IBD appointment for it to be fucking cancelled. My surgeon won't see me for my barbie butt issues so guess I'm just left to it yet again for however more long!
Lucozade not touching the side, and I refuse to drink dioralyte as I had a very traumatic experience in hospital with it where doctors made me drink two jugs a day for three weeks.
@stomababe@magsmac59 It wasn’t no it was a sinus tract that developed after having my rectum removed I got it cut and flattened out in February but it is still healing ❤️🩹
For those who criticise me, please do remember I am a chronically unwell person who is pregnant, works in full-time employment, hosts a podcast for chronically unwell people and manages five active social accounts raising awareness of stoma bags. It is not easy but I try my best!
@stomababe I woke up this morning with a leak luckily I was at home and just jumped in the shower but it has happened at work before but thankfully my boss was great I had forgotten my supplies that day and he told me not to worry and just get home and he’d see me the next day
A list of why you may need an emergency stoma kit. Any of these can happen to anyone at any time. Regardless of if you carry your supplies with you at all times.
@stomababe My daughter has had a stoma for the past 2 years, she's still struggling with her fistula, she's still in pain and keeps getting infections, my heart breaks for her, I so wish i could make ut better for her
