@sarasiobhan yes, w a focus on needing to know & understand the values the person wishes to live by (not org's, not ours) and how to take action to support this. This needs cultivating, guided by a compass which always sets you back on the path of what the person wants and needs?

What do you know and understand, and what do you need to know and understand to do an ace job? 'Training' is the stuff of heartsink and white noise.

Not hard to get head around these concerns. Mum upon emergency hospital admittance told we will not resuscitate = acquiescence, to leaving hospital being told same = resistance/ rejection. Wrongly I'm not informed or consulted as N.O.K. Transport insinuated I had the DNR applied
