No coincidence, @pjfoot1859. Proud to have played football alongside Peter Weightman, the father of my current ageless marathon champ @LisaWeightman. Interestingly, Peter and I both went on to coach the Preston Bullants @NBullantsFC in later years, a club with a great tradition.

The lookstudy.com.au RCT introduced quality PE bluearth.org into public schools. By grade 6 it had improved the (20%!) prevalence of elevated blood risk factors for CVD and T2D in typical Aussie kids; and NAPLAN scores as well! PE is medicine for body and mind.

Great run @LisaWeightman 2:24.40 in Berlin last week, despite your interrupted training. With your 5 fastest ever marathons (2:23.15-2:24.40) all in the last 25 months, and plenty of room to improve your training, the odds of running another PB in your 46th year are not long.

Wow. Huge run!

The #Tokyo2025 marathon course was unveiled today. The start and finish will be at Japan National Stadium, a reversal of the recent trend to de-couple the marathon from the main stadium. The course includes two 13 km laps in the heart of central Tokyo, including the Ginza.

It’s not only a shame, but bizarre that @SWEOlympic, would choose to have zero Swede’s in the women’s 1500m instead of sending me. They would rather have 0 men in the steeple chase instead of sending 3(!!). What message does this send to the next generation of middle-distance runners in Sweden? #OnThisDay in 1983, Gawler's (SA) Lisa O'Dea, recruited by a 🇺🇸college as a 400m Hurdler, set an 🇦🇺10,000m record of 33-46.7 in Walnut. Better known by her married names - Lisa Martin/Ondieki - she went on to win Olympic 🥈& back-to-back Commonwealth Games 🥇in the Marathon.
