Why is Mayor Johnston's fire chief subsidizing other cities after the city laid off 170 workers & faces a $200 million deficit? Instead of renegotiating a bad deal worth millions, he’s moving on—just like he did after double-dipping his salary. Denver taxpayers deserve better.

I believe Dolores Huerta & other sex assault survivors of Ceaser Chavez. They were doubly failed—by oppressive systems & by an abuser who claimed to be their protector. Women shouldn’t face danger organizing for justice, then or now. Their stories demand movement-wide reckoning.

Immigrant families under attack by ICE deserve more than performative politics. Most of the duties outlined in Johnston's executive order already exist: the duty to protect, investigate, intervene, and render aid. His PR team was in overdrive, hyping the least effort possible.
