@KirstyW95 I’m so sorry to hear this :( my appointment with my surgeon was meant to be in March, I rang yesterday to clarify the time only to find out they had moved it to June and not told me. I’ve been waiting about a year for this apointI could have a whole convo about my NHS battles🥲 x

The worst thing is on multiple occasions they’ve waited for him to turn up before 7 am and then send him home on the day!

The NHS is a shambles. My grandad has been waiting on a back operation for so long and it has been cancelled last minute FIVE times. He’s in agony all the time and can barely walk since he fell on the bus last February! Such a shame

@KirstyW95 Hopefully they can help you better than they could me! I’m abit of a complex case (always the way) so fingers crossed!! They may mention topiramate! Migraines fucking suck. My last one the other week had me in bed for 3 days :( maybe they will help in 2 ways😂😂

@Lisaharrytrodds Oh fuck well I have no hope but I can’t go on like this I’ve had many migraines a month for like 10 years maybe more I dread to think about how much life I’ve wasted lol. Maybe the tablets will make me happier too then 😂

Has anyone tried amitriptyline for migraines and found it helped? Propranolol isn’t cutting it and painkillers and triptans don’t often help. Also considering Botox for them

@KirstyW95 Yeah sometimes it takes a month. Amitriptyline can be used for headaches but also as an antidepressant so its a tricky one to feel okay on. I went to neurology- took a year for an appointment and they disagreed with my gastro people and have basically discharged me with no help🙃

@Lisaharrytrodds She’s given me 2 weeks worth of amitriptyline to try but I feel like that’s not enough to know if it works for me, and she’s referring me to neurology thank god
