@Dragracemayhem This is an issue across racing. NASCAR doesn’t even have a title right sponsor. There’s been so much consolidation in industry that the sponsors just aren’t there. What’s the answer? I don’t know.

@LitAndLoud Well again lets come full circle here Ask yourself why is this an issue in the first place ? Well because the teams dont see an ROI in that situation or reason to go via sponsors. So instead od putting a band aid lets figure out how to get more sponsors so this doesnt happen

This already exists and is called the participation rule ( which clearly hasn't solved this issue ) takes so much legitimacy out of this sport its not even funny When are we as a sport gonna stop putting band aids on issues and instead fix the root cause ? #NHRA

@LitAndLoud @NHRA @MissionFoodsUS @WFORadio @LifesaDrag1320 NHRA doesn’t just wait for pro teams. When it looks like the fields could be short they are reaching to see who might be available to race. They do this weeks and months in advance. They want to put on a good show with competitive field.

The winner of this weekend won’t be mentioned in the New York Times, nor will next week’s, or the week after. Season champions probably won’t either. Drag racing needs to figure out how to change that. I think it starts by making winning and losing matter in your marketing.

@OhioRacingMedia @Dragracemayhem It’s the long running tradition of “if it bleeds it leads”, crashes and spectacular performances get attention. But how to change that I have no idea.
