Anyway, if you want to buy a copy of it, you can. DM me and I’ll share the link if I trust you. I’m not posting my legal name on fuckin X dot com for a multitude of reasons.

This is because she’s the best. I wouldn’t have done this myself, like ever. But when she gave it to me, it was really great to have a physical copy of this book that I worked on for years.

I came in second place in multiple book contests! It was wild shit. But no one would put it out. So then it just sat on my computer for the last 8 years. For my 40th birthday, my wife surprised me and had it made as a print on demand Amazon hardcover.

I wrote a book from 2011-2016. It was a novel-in-stories, and all of it was published in various literary magazines of repute from 2013-2017. Anyway, as one does, I tried to get an agent and failed. I submitted it to indies, and they also did not want it (stories don’t sell)

@marchxness @davidclowery is a senior lecturer at UGA. His research interests include Application of concepts from Derivatives Volatility Trading to the Music Industry. Somehow I think this makes him even more plaid.

With the #24 pick it's new-to-Xness and not-on-twitter Sean Lovelace, selecting Cracker's "Low"!

@marchxness @BorrowedHorses Yes, absolutely. And turn up the volume. It may not fit the "plaid" but the song definitely rocks. Curious to know your thoughts.

@LitMagMadness @BorrowedHorses a whiny voice isn't a plus, but it isn't an eliminating quality; the problem with Blind Melon (at least their only song we really know) is that they don't really ever rock...like at all? But we don't know that song. Should we give it a listen?

The March Plaidness longlist (missing a couple on here, but not sure which). What else should we be looking at? (88-98)

@marchxness Love seeing Belly on the list, but Black Dog, Dusted, or even Gepetto seem more "plaid."

@marchxness I get that March Flannelness doesn't have the same ring to it, but when you say plaid, this is where my mind goes.

I think craft beer is for pretentious buttheads and the only beer I drink is Michelob Ultra and if you don’t like that, I don’t like you. - Sigh

RIP Fred Willard. You were a great comedic actor and your talents kept rollin’ rollin’ rollin’ rollin’ well into your ninth decade. I’ll never forget what you said that fateful night those pigs arrested you in a porno theater—“I did it all for the nookie.” RIP in peace.

All the best songs are emo songs. I’ll prove it. Name a song in the replies and I’ll tell you if it’s emo and therefore one of the best songs.

Is there a support group for people who have a lot of extra time on their hands but are writing less because the real world is much more messed up than the fiction they're writing? We may need to pay submission fees for people who are actually accomplishing something.
