@lulu_lemon213 @luxemiaa In Canada (at least in my province), servers are paid a minimum wage which is $15.65 an hour and we’re still expected to tip 20%. Servers and bartenders probably make more money than I do. 😝

Exactly. Same waitress, same tables, same effort why does your lobster suddenly make her 'deserve' 3x the tip the burger table leaves? Service isn't priced by the menu like wine. Tipping culture is broken when it's a % of your bill instead of the actual work. Restaurants should just pay a real wage (not that $2.13/hr federal tipped minimum) and let tips be a true bonus for great service.

A woman on Instagram said: My husband and I go out to dinner and order lobster dishes at $50 each and the table next to us order burgers at $15 each. Why do we have to leave a bigger tip than the other table when we had the same waitress and got the same service?

@jmclennan8 Might want to fact check before posting my things. There are no sources anywhere in which Trump said this. Ask grok if you don’t believe me.

@Mr_Husky1 Young GenX’er. While I’ve technically used a rotary phone at my grandparents house, I only remember us having a keypad phone at my parents’ house growing up.

@mark_slapinski I made $6 an hour for minimum wage way back when I was in high school in the mid 90’s. Did we just travel back in time?

@IamtheLiquor88 @mark_slapinski And it’s the big bottle of salsa, not the small jars (sad that I have to point that out before anybody starts going on about how much salsa has gone up in price)

Serious question: Is Mark Carney the best prime minister Canada has ever had?

@ryangerritsen Would you rather he hold pointless press conferences and ramble nonsense like Trump? As long as he gets shit done while he’s away and has a press conference when he comes home, I don’t care.

Carney is now in Sydney and has not spoken to the media or held a press conference since February 17th. I guess he’s above it all.

@Ben_oharabyrne His wife just divorced him and his daughter won’t talk to him. Literally no one wants to be around him or listen to him. He keeps trying to pick fights with Canada to stay relevant.

@johnnysrq @TheJoeySwoll She was probably training for distance, not time. So if she wanted to do a 5km race, maybe it takes her 39 minutes right now. But she’ll gradually increase her pace over time so it takes less time until she gets to her goal time. This is literally how new runners train. HF.

@b_regehr @carolannleif I’m in NB so I know all of the French swears. I didn’t watch the broom breaking video with audio on but tabernak was definitely warranted in that moment. lol!

@Litatura @carolannleif Umm, you aren’t familiar with the Quebec rink are you? People keep a counter for their skip. And while no audible f-bombs in their first game, there was a well placed “tabarnak” when one of them snapped his broom and fell.

@DavidTaylorNYC She’s totally running a deficit on purpose. This is to push the Separatist agenda. By running a deficit, she can blame Ottawa, transfer payments, etc.

@mrmckee No, it’s far from perfect. Wait times for non-urgent things is horrible, but I’ve always gotten in quickly for urgent things (and I’m in NB too!). But I rather have to wait than go bankrupt.

The notion that “Canada has a wonderful healthcare system” is just another in a long line of lies Canadians accept as truth but is complete fiction.

@xobabyap @yyzclaire They taste different because they are smaller if that makes any sense. Maybe it’s the chocolate to shell ratio? lol! It’s like the small Cadbury cream eggs that you can buy in a bag. I find that they do taste different and I don’t really like them either. 😂

@hogfanjohn83 @AmoneyResists The victims didn’t exonerate Trump either. They basically said the same thing as Bill Clinton - they personally didn’t see him.

@Apteryx1214 @SteveWps True. In the beginning, we had to text with numbers and pictures taken with our phones were blurry as shit. lol! I am glad that when I was in high school and university, digital cameras were just starting to become a thing and it was a pain to upload pictures. No evidence! lol!

@Litatura @SteveWps I mean smartphone (mostly). Flip phones didn’t put the whole Internet and social media our pockets as soon as we crawled out of the crib. That’s the true “generational divide”, IMO

@Apteryx1214 @SteveWps I’m a young GenXer too. Do you mean smartphone or cellphone? I didn’t have my first smartphone (a BlackBerry Curve) until I had my first grown up/corporate job when I was in my late 20’s and they paid. But I’ve had a cellphone (good ol’ Nokia) since I was probably 20 or 21.

@SteveWps Not to belabor a point, but “old” Milleniials and “young” GenX (me) are the same people. The true “hard line” is whether you had a smartphone before you were 21-25 (approximately)
