Many artists, whether full-time or not, are often misunderstood by a large part of the community. I’ve been thinking about making a video about this in the future. “Artists and Their Prices” will be the title of this upcoming video. To me, prices reflect the sacrifices artists have made, the value they place on their work, the financial protection they need, and their physical and mental well-being. They also reflect their monthly and daily needs, since the cost of living varies depending on where they live. But most importantly… the percentage taken by the state. In my case, for example, it’s almost 30% every month. I would like to share more precise perspectives, so that comparisons between artists can be more fair and realistic. I’m not saying what I’ll share will change the world—absolutely not. But maybe it can help people who don’t understand these things get more realistic answers to their questions.
