Many local schools have a PD day next week on Election Day. I dream about an email from superintendents that says “We see you working more than ever. We know you’re not okay. Please take the day to catch up, plan w/colleagues, learn that thing you haven’t had time to learn.”

@Kpteach5 @noraraleighB Isn’t the live teaching a legal issue? I am so concerned how this year is going to support our children. I do know that whatever children work with you will have an amazing teacher!

@noraraleighB We are a smaller district so we have 3 total remote teachers: K/1, 2/3, and I’m 4/5. At the secondary level, they are live-streaming the full remote students into class because there weren’t enough kids or staff and there are too many course offerings to do remote teachers.

I will be teaching 21 4th & 5th graders whose families have chosen remote learning. I sent a survey to families on Tues. and the beautiful feedback & sincere messages I’ve received have reminded me what a unique opportunity this is to engage more deeply with families. ❤️

I’ve been standing in the middle of the classroom where my bookshelves are now being stored while I teach remotely. These books/authors are my co-teachers. I’m so overwhelmed. I want to have them all home with me. 😔😢
