@Litheesh03 haha, I haven't noticed that big of a difference in Codex/GPT to be honest, it's always been great!

Been using GPT-5.6 Sol for a few days now and ngl it's different
Tried Ultra mode on a much bigger task, and it split the work across multiple agents running in parallel.
Finished way faster than I expected.
Somehow it's also cheaper than what I was paying before, while handling coding tasks better.
Not gonna lie it's the first model in a while that actually felt like it got out of my way instead of needing constant direction.
Ran full day-long sessions without needing to reset the goal. It just kept working.
Handled sub-agents way better than I expected.
Seeing the same coding runs cost around $8 instead of $20+ elsewhere is pretty impressive.

Hello. We have reached 8M active users across Codex and ChatGPT Work.
We are once again resetting the usage limits for all. And we continue to not have the 5h rate limit as well, allowing everyone to explore the boundaries of GPT-5.6 Sol and discover how ambitious you can be.
See you tomorrow for more updates on our growth!
Sam Altman@sama
5.6 sol growth is insane. the inference team has done heroic work to be able to support demand. we are going to move mountains to continue to scale, but it is possible there are some hiccups soon.

Thank you, OpenAI, Meta, xAI, GLM, Kimi, Cursor, Cognition, for keeping the pressure on Claude to extend Fable access forever.
Claude@claudeai
We're extending Claude Fable 5 access on all paid plans, as well as keeping Claude Code’s weekly rate limits 50% higher, through July 19.

Vibe coder asks Claude Code to build a chat app.
Gets a working prototype in 20 minutes.
Immediately tweets:
> "Slack and Discord are finished."
Bro...
A chat UI isn't the hard part.
The hard part starts when 50,000 people are online at the same time.
Messages must arrive in the right order.
WebSocket connections can't randomly drop.
Presence has to stay accurate.
Search has to work across billions of messages.
Files need to be stored, replicated, and served globally.
The system has to survive outages without losing data.
That's why companies like Slack employ engineers who've spent years solving problems most people don't even know exist.
Your app works with 2 users on localhost.
That doesn't mean it can replace a product used by millions.
AI is amazing for building MVPs and prototypes.
But the first 1% of the code was never the difficult part.
The other 99% is scalability, reliability, security, infrastructure, monitoring, and years of fixing edge cases that only appear in production.
Building a prototype isn't building the product.
It's just proving the idea can exist.

Career Update - I'M JOBLESS.
After almost 4 years at the same company, I decided to quit.
Over the past few months, my work hours kept increasing, but my pay didn't reflect the effort. I asked for a raise, but it didn't work out, so I walked away.
I don't have another job lined up, and I'm not preparing for interviews either.
For the next 3 months, I'm going all in on a few online money-making ideas I've been thinking about. If they work, great. If not, I'll start preparing for interviews again.
Also, if you're building a startup or an interesting project, let me know.
Let's see where this journey goes. 🚀
