Lithuania in South Africa

On 13 May, the second political consultations between Lithuania and Namibia were held in Vilnius. The consultations were led by Lithuania’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vidmantas Verbickas, and Namibia’s Deputy Minister of International Relations and Trade, Jenelly Matundu.

The path to peace is clear: intensifying pressure on Russia while increasing support for Ukraine.

Over four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. What was meant to weaken Europe strengthened our unity. Ukraine stands firm. Europe stands with Ukraine. Russia’s aggression was a strategic miscalculation and our support to Ukraine remains steadfast.

Lithuania values the partnership between the European Union and the Kingdom of Eswatini and supports continued dialogue aimed at inclusive growth, digital transformation, the strengthening of a rules-based international order, and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation.

Discussions focused on governance, peace and security, trade and investment, youth empowerment, digital transformation, science and education cooperation, as well as opportunities under the EU Global Gateway strategy and the EU–SADC Economic Partnership Agreement.

🇱🇹 🇪🇺 🇸🇿On 8 May, the Embassy of Lithuania joined the 3rd EU–Eswatini Partnership Dialogue in Mbabane, Eswatini. The Dialogue marked 50 years of EU–Eswatini relations and reaffirmed a partnership based on mutual respect and shared priorities.

Lithuanian-born @Vinted completed an €880M secondary share sale at an €8B valuation, reflecting strong investor demand and a clear step-up in valuation at a late stage. A strong signal for Lithuania’s tech ecosystem.
