As the heat of summer wears on, we’re excited to introduce the Hydro Heroes program at Little City! We all know the importance of drinking water for our health, and we need to encourage the individuals in our care to hydrate! We already have hydration protocols in place but wanted to bring some fun to the effort with educational posters, water dispensers, stickers, lanyards, T-shirts, and, of course, WATER BOTTLES!

Huge thanks to the @WeberGrills Team for braving the heat and making a significant impact at Little City’s Countryside Center! This dedicated group rolled up their sleeves recently to transform the landscape at Countryside Center. Despite the HOT weather, they tackled everything from weeding to mulching. Yesterday evening, we kicked off Women's History Month by celebrating with our current class, alumnae, board members, and several special guests. How special to share a room with people dedicated to celebrating and uplifting the women of yesterday, today, and tomorrow!

It is great to see an increase in medical staff prepared to deal with the projected increase in the number of adults with IDD aged 60 and up. Nationally, the number of adults with IDD aged 60 and older is projected to double from 641,860 in 2000 to 1.2 million people by 2030.
