That Sunday morning feeling when football is back and an opening day 3 points…

Fantastic start from the boys today, after going 0-1 down to an extremely dubious penalty, we showed great character and fully deserved the 4-1 win against @Skirlaugh_AFC Debutant Murph with a hat trick and Marc grabbing the other.

Today is the start of our debut season in the Championship. We welcome @Skirlaugh_AFC for what will be a really tough opening game. Melling and Murphy in for their debuts.

@DriffTownFC Cheers for the game lads and all the best for the season. Agree on Dave MOTM, he was excellent.

We are looking for a friendly on Wednesday 6th September. We can host or travel. Ideally teams County Championship or above.

Goals came from @danny_scott8 who turned a defender inside out before rifling past the keeper, before a comedy own goal from the MW keeper. ‘Trialist Dav’ sealed the win with a calm finish following good build up play from Josh and @SamFussey

First session back for the lads tonight and we threw them straight into a game against Market Weighton. We played some lovely possession football at times, to the annoyance of the home team that had to resort to over aggressive tackles and punching one of our lads 3-2 win.

@DennoP76 @sowers87 @Mitchinson88 Finally it was the Managers Player of Season. It wouldn’t be a @LittleDriffFC presentation without @JustJack_21 picking up some silverware. A critical player in our progression over recent years and a delight to have him at the club.

@DennoP76 @sowers87 Next up was Top Goalscorer. This went to @Mitchinson88 who continues a run of 20/20 from the penalty spot for the club.
