Hey everyone…I have some heavy news.
I have an official word @KeigaKing has passed away.
I received permission from his family to share this publicly so his close friends and community can know.
As many of you know, Keiga was living with an extremely rare illness called Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD), which severely weakened his immune system—so much that even a cold could send him to the hospital. He was receiving treatment at the National Institutes of Health in Washington, DC, including gene therapy that had the potential to save his life.
I don’t know the exact circumstances, but his brother confirmed to me that Keiga passed away in Spring 2025.
Many of you may also know him as Pemobu, before he rebranded. He was a wonderful person, a dear friend, and someone I genuinely loved. He was part of my vtuber org, VGenerates, and we had been friends for many years.
In real life, he was a personal trainer who wanted to help people get fit, stay healthy, and live happy lives. I was one of the few lucky enough to know the real Keiga.
Eventually… he stopped responding. I tried calling his personal number, texting, Discord...everything. I feared what might have happened, but I chose to stay hopeful.
I will miss him so much. We always promised each other that when he got better, we would go to Disney World and hold hands. He was someone I held so much love for, and has left a mark on my heart.

I’m so sorry to anyone who is blindsided by this news.
I’m deeply saddened that he didn’t make it through, but the research he contributed to, may help thousands of others in the future.
