I don't know how else to say this, so I'll just say it plainly. We are at Code Red. If this administration is not put in check soon, everything that makes America beautiful is at risk of irreversible damage. He is stealing, leasing and depleting our protected lands. He won't stop. Protecting our National Parks, U.S. national forests, and the majestic Arctic Refuge should not be a partisan issue. Once these lands are destroyed, they are gone forever. Future generations will never know or experience them. The wildlife that lives off them will not survive. One man should not hold this power over the future of all Americans. Call your Senators and ask them to protect our public lands and national forests. Make it clear you will not support the reelection of a representative who votes to mine, drill, or log on our protected lands. Code Red.

When someone calls AI and robotic enabled Universal High Income the same thing as socialism/communism, I always want to laugh.
It signals that they don’t understand any better than the silly collectivists themselves why the two later systems create inferior incentives for high skill or high value producers and were doomed to fail from the start.
Robotic labor doesn’t operate under the same incentives as humans, and never before has any system whatsoever seen a production or automation boom that even remotely resembles what we will see over the next few years.
There is no compounding labor in socialism.
All the rules change when the entire game changes.
Think ahead.

Good morning.
I think many economists are struggling with this. Because yes, yes "if everyone is a millionaire, nobody is." and "increased productivity does not mean increased wages historically" etc.
This is a common fallacy. I dunno if it has a name, but it's where everyone assumes current conditions remain the same, then base their argument against the future based on everything remaining the same.
The one thing we do know, nothing remains the same. Elon is not looking at world where we still have regular jobs, regular companies even, or even ...dare I say it...money as we know it.
It's a very difficult future to see, and it could go many ways. Many bad ways too. In fact, I sometimes feel like Dr. Strange, peering into the the future of endless bad outcomes, only seeing a few good ones. I'm sure Elon feels it even worse.
I don't think money is going to matter in the future, and that UBI is just a stepping stone to ease the transition to a very strange post-scarcity world. A world where everything is provided to you, and the only input that matters is energy.
Every argument against the future, or prediction of the future, must be weighed against this new tapestry of future conditions, which will be radically different.
