Congrats and great job to everyone who participated in the MNPS Summer Band Clinic last week! There were over 40 Litton Band students signed up - you all really represented our school!

Congratulations to these 5th grade students on earning their black belts in Band Karate! They worked their way through the entire band book with very little help from me. Congrats to ALL the students who earned Band Karate belts this year.I can’t wait to see what they accomplish!

Free Summer Choir Clinic for rising 7th-12th graders: Students will participate in "The Voice" style masterclasses, audition techniques, conducting, songwriting/studio recording and music theater.
Camp is from July 11 to 15 at @OvertonMNPS.

The 5th Grade Band performed this morning during Morning Meeting - in front of the whole school! They did SO well playing and showing their Litton PRIDE. Special thanks to Ms. Kelly for conducting, and the 7th/8th graders who helped us set up and tear down. Great work, 5th grade!

Last week was a busy week for band students! These all-star 7th graders performed at the Inglewood Neighborhood Association meeting. The INA have supported the band for years, and they made a donation to our PTSO this year. We are so grateful for their support. Thank you, INA!!

Earlier this week, we had a visit from former Litton Lion, Clarence. Clarence is now a senior at McGavock and he came to mentor students as part of a service project. He did an amazing job teaching clarinet players! Thanks, Clarence! Pics are from 2018 and this week. ☺️

On Monday, the 7th and 8th Grade Band performed “Lift Every Voice and Sing” for the Black History Month assembly. 8th Grade Band students shared research they completed about the history and lyrics of the song. Great work, 7th and 8th graders!
