Motion Paths alone are not always enough, so I made a small personal Blender add-on.
It has two features:
recording mesh ghosts at selected frames, and showing onion skinning in the viewport.

RWBY's writing was always its weak side. The main difference is a poorly written show whose writing is made up for by fun action & colourful cast, vs. a poorly written show that NOW suddenly wants you to pay more attention to its MUCH weaker plot & worldbuilding.
