@dieworkwear This is me and the Anthropologie catalogue. I like the clothes, but I love the lifestyle they portray. And they don't suit my life, so I mostly don't buy them. And I know I want to fill my wardrobe with them mostly because I want the life that should come with them.

You don't actually love JFK's style. You love the idea of dense, mixed use, walkable neighborhoods where you can bike, walk, or rollerblade to wherever you need to be. And making enough money to live in a city while having enough free time for hobbies and a lover.

The Liberals cancelled the consumer carbon tax and now want to build a pipeline to the BC coast; so why do we even need a Canadian Conservative Party now?

@StephenPunwasi Even with self-serving timing, and even if it was just for the optics, it looks like Guilbeault held true to his principles by resigning over a pipeline. I wish that Catherine McKenna had had the principles to resign over Trans Mountain.

@westcoast_DJ @David_Moscrop It might survive. Northern BC is really far away from Vancouver. The BC voters that voted for Carney might or might not hate the idea (or reality) of a pipeline in northern BC, but it probably won't be a deal breaker.

@David_Moscrop Good for Steven Guilbeault. I lost so much respect for Catherine McKenna when she did NOT resign over the Trans Mountain pipeline. If you are going to run on principles, you should have those principles.

The ’90s saw the longest peacetime boom in modern history. Politicians competed to improve lives—and often agreed on what had to be done. Not a coincidence. Neither is today’s hopelessness as politicians compete using fear & division, pushing for increased state powers.
