Today we released the following numbers, which show promising reductions in gun homicides in NE OKC. We have a lot of work to do, but the the community is making a difference. ✊🏾

We were proud to help give out care packages to each and every human being detained in the Oklahoma County Jail today. Huge shoutout to Teem, Judge Cindy Truong, and the Arnall Family Foundation for making this possible.

We have to see the people we only see when violence occurs—before it happens. And we have to help them choose to stop shooting. No one wants to spend their life in prison or be shot themselves. People want to improve their life. LiveFree OKC is here to help. 3/3

It’s not because people are bad. It’s because our community is underserved and under resourced. Violence occurs at the culmination of longstanding unmet needs. To reduce violence, we have to engage the people in the margins, people who have fallen through the cracks. 2/3
