@LiveWiseMS I find that I am baffeled by those not on DMTs. I want to know why, aside from children, people choose not to take DMTs, esp. due to this chance of RR turning into SP without them.

I don't understand why anyone would not be on a DMT with RRMS. If you are one of these people, please explain? No judgment; I'm truly confused at chancing the faster disability w/out one, & would like to know why, if willing to share.

@LiteSmyelin Yeah, it's a good question. I guess it is all about personal choice and comfort level, and hopefully they find success taking other measures. I've just had activity on MRI results in past when I was feeling fine...which scares me, & further highlights to me the importance of DMT.

@LiteSmyelin Also, there is an old static that a large % of ppl w/ RRMS transition to SPMS within 10 yrs. That is no longer the norm w/ all of the DMT options, and the knowledge of things that help (like diet, lifestyle, exercise, stress management, etc) #keepaskingthoseimportantquestions 😉

@LiveWiseMS Thank you for sharing. It is stories like yours that makes me ask this question to those who chose not to take them.

@LiteSmyelin I think pharma can sometimes get a bad rep, and people start believing the medications are worse than the disease. I know ppl have bad side effects but one must keep trying until they find the right fit!
