@fiachramcg Ah the SF supporter. The ones who say "Look at what's happening in the USA? Those Trump supporters are mad, they believe anything he says, it's like brainwashing"... Then post this kind of thing.

The First Minister and deputy First Minister met the Ulster Farmers’ Union to discuss rising fuel and fertiliser costs. They have requested an urgent meeting with the Prime Minister to press for support for those under pressure.

@PatrickCoDerry @bbctheview @MarkCarruthers7 @Diana_uup Direct rule stopped building the M2? Which turns off at the Antrim junction and continues 10 miles away at Ballymena. Who came up with that plan?. The M2 becomes the M22 whenever you pass under the Antrim junction and continues to Randalstown. All planned by the Unionist Gov.

@bbctheview @MarkCarruthers7 @Diana_uup M2 stopped at Randalstown, M1 stopped at Dungannon. University built in Coleraine rather than The Maiden City. Under which party’s watch did these things happen! And the UUP cry about disadvantages west of the Bann? Wise-up @Diane_uup

@LincolnShepher @_InfoGram_ Maybe you didn't know that France, the UK, Japan and other countries are supplying minesweepers to assist the US in the Strait of Hormuz. Strange that President Trump has been low key "Our allies are helping us tidy up but it'll take time". Rather than the usual boisterous self.

This isn’t the flex they think it is 😂 President Donald Trump told other countries to step up and protect THEIR oil routes—now he’s doing what weak leaders refused to do: take action. That’s called LEADERSHIP. Meanwhile Emmanuel Macron sits on the sidelines calling everything “unrealistic” while relying on America to keep global trade alive. Trump doesn’t talk—he ACTS. Europe hesitates. America leads. 🇺🇸🔥

🚨This is EPIC 🔥 🇺🇸Trump: "The countries that do receive oil through the Hormuz Strait must take care of that passage. I am leaving" 🇺🇸Trump Today: "OK, leave Iran. Let me block the Strait of Hormuz myself."🤣 🇫🇷Macron was absolutely right about him😂

@moneillsf Everytime you suggest "writing, speaking or challenging" the government suggests you're 1) not willing to do anything 2) Don't have the authority and cannot do anything. Either way, not a good look for the First Minister. Keep voices heard? Not like the Iran war is pretty quiet.

Over half of what people pay at the pump is tax. Only the British government has the power to cut this tax, but Keir Starmer is choosing not to act. The cost of living crisis is an emergency that demands immediate action. I will keep making people’s voices heard and challenge Keir Starmer to cut fuel tax without delay.

It was a privilege to help launch a vital @musicvenuetrust report today in Stormont. Critical we do much more to support grassroots venues, fans and future artists. But it was, on reflection, presumptuous of me to demonstrate piano technique to Neil Hannon.

@cahillbooks SF and the DUP bandwagon. Fuel up by 40p. Not one protest (or whisper) on pension age being raised from 60 for women and 65 for men to a unified 67 years old. They were both in charge. As well as changing the law for pension fund. Something that should have been protested.

So no decisions at all can be made here? Of course the UK Govt holds the fiscal power and needs to offer support but the Executive seems intent on sitting on its hands? What is the point in having devolution when the First Minister thinks like this?

@timmckane 1) They cost about 40p that's what I'd be furious about. A quick check on EBAY. 2) People are selling those for £2 to £3 a pop. If they're going for that amount, as a Nationalist, I'm getting over the original 40p fury, if I can make 5 to 7 times that on eBay.

I’m supportive of the acceptance of the use of Irish on signs etc, but perhaps some nationalists might understand that the reaction of some unionists is the same as some nationalists when faced with a shopping bag…

@footballontnt @Ally_McCoist9 stop that "Playing as number 9, number 10 nonsense". No one says "Playing as a number 3 or 4". They say Left Back or Right Back. Playing as a Striker or Central Attacking Midfielder is perfectly acceptable. 😄

@BOSSportsGordo Because reversing in with a warm engine and then pulling forward on a colder engine uses up less fuel than reversing out on a colder engine and then pulling forward. Plus it's safer.

@cahillbooks True with the flaws of verification and those flaws were (and are) investigated. Legislators/Politicians are good with the question of "How?" and what should be done. To your original point. Not so good solving the "Why?" "Why do people do what they do online?"

@Liver4breakfast Not particularly. In the case of Alexander McCartney, flaws in verification allowed him to contact very young children, one of whom shot herself dead. She was 12. No one would blame that child for her death, but there are things legislators can do to make other children safer.

@SaferRoadsYorks I understand that a vehicle must pass with at least 1.5m distance between them. Then why, when in traffic shouldn't a bicycle not ensure there is a 1.5m gap before passing on the inside. A vehicle sitting in traffic gets passed inside, then has to find 1.5m before overtaking.

Most motorists now know how to pass cyclists leaving at least 1.5m of space, however, there are still some who need to learn. This Skoda keeper is soon to get a police letter demanding confirmation of the driver so they can be processed for careless driving.

A farcical referendum with a mere 20% turnout. The Irish language lobby mobilised their base by embracing the most divisive of messaging and silenced those opposed to the motion through intimidation and bullying. Total sham!

@StormontSources @CathyMasonSF None of my kids (not their friends) have had private tutoring - done alright. None of my friends and I had private tutoring and we've done alright. Did everyone on the panel (who is doing alright) have private tutoring? Or are you creating "victims", in NI to meet your own ends?
