It’s disappointing, honestly. A friend of mine who’s almost finishing his studies at Kenyatta University called me yesterday asking for KSh 200 because he was with his girl and needed something small to get through the night. I sent him KSh 500, but up to now he hasn’t called or even texted to confirm he received it or to say thank you. We really need to learn to appreciate people. A simple “thank you” goes a long way. I’m honestly disappointed.

Kangundo Secondary principal wrote showcause letter to a teacher who was in hospital fighting for his life. She taught the teacher had absconded his duties. Few days later the teacher died and left the letter on the table. Sometimes people might be going through tough times but others assume that someone is just okay. Before you ask for anything, please try to know whether someone is okay. Kama mtu hashiki simu ,it's not obvious that they've ignored you,maybe they are far from the phone or they have their own struggles. If someone has become quiet ,which is not normal, maybe there's something that's troubling them. If someone hasn't reported to work ,maybe he's sick.

Kenyatta University Teaching Referral Hospital was ordered by the High Court to immediately and unconditionally release the body of Roselyn Mukoko Aura, which had been unlawfully detained over an outstanding medical bill of Kshs 561,502. The Court made it clear that a dead body is neither property nor a commodity capable of being held as security. Its continued detention serves no lawful purpose and only inflicts unnecessary psychological suffering on the bereaved family while undermining their dignity. Justice L N Mugambi dismissed the hospital’s preliminary objections, firmly stating that a body cannot be used as collateral for debt. While the hospital retains the right to recover the outstanding amount through lawful means, that process cannot come at the expense of the family’s right to a dignified burial.
