I’ll never understand the hype surrounding Kendrick Lamar. I feel like we’re being collectively gaslit into believing he’s a genius lol. He sounds like a monotone Dave Chappelle character doing an open mic over a ridiculously overproduced beat. Half his “bars” are just recycled twitter jokes, and the other half are extremely basic bars, but his fans will write an academic essay explaining how it’s actually a quintuple entendre that went over our heads and is secretly a critique of the socioeconomic state of the culture.
