Our convening with #EdFellows is off to an impressive start with a panel discussing governance in education. Our thanks to panelists Chairman Lillian Hartgrove from SBE, Speaker Bill Dunn with TDOE, and Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto for sharing their insights.

COVID prevented us from having our final @SCORE4Schools TEF convening. Can’t wait to finally travel to Nashville tomorrow to meet with former and new fellows, and all of the learning that will take place! ❤️

Could not be more proud of @LizeBailey! She’s always wanted to write a children’s book and now she’s holding the printed copy of one she co-authored for Bays Mountains 50th. She get to shows off her creativity and wit in the book - just a few of the many things I love about her.

@karenvaites Yes! Another girl and I wrote it together. Bays Mountain Park & Planetarium is a city-owned park in our community that’s celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year. We take a field trip there every year. ❤️

Today at #Reading360 we are reminded of the importance of assessments and how gathering data from them to use for future growth is so important! @TNedu

I’m a math T at the #Reading360 training. I have never wanted to teach reading because it “didn’t have a system or strategy” like math does. With systematic, explicit phonics instruction, there’s no guessing anymore & I love it. @TNedu

What do Ss need in a foundational skills lesson to develop mastery with sounds and spellings so that they can decode accurately? #Reading360 @TNedu

Day 2 in Boston is bringing more of #CKLA domains to life. Can’t wait to add these photos to the collection that I show my kids of the places that I’ve been that tie into our domains! ❤️

Enjoyed talking with @SullCoSchools about summer camps @christyashe1 @AlesiaDinsmore9 “It was meant to fill curriculum gaps, but summer canps has filled emotional gaps. We have supported our children who were virtual so much; we have re-created that connection for children”
