BREAKING 🚨 Almost half of people claiming Universal Credit ran out of food in the last month and did not have enough money to buy more. Universal Credit is falling short and pushing people to food banks. People cannot wait for an economic turnaround to improve their current situations. We urge the Government act. People facing hunger need immediate relief, and strong services in their communities. The upcoming budget must strengthen social security to tackle hardship at the root.

The average prison sentence for a violent offence in England is 18 months. A woman who had an abortion without following correct procedures just got 28 months under an 1868 act- we need urgent reform to make safe access for all women in England, Scotland and wales a human right.

Many families with disabled children struggle to access respite support. Parent carers can face exhausting battles trying to get respite care or short breaks. Families shouldn't have to reach breaking point to secure the support they need. (1/2) bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

On Thursday, it will be 3 years since the first Covid-19 lockdown in the UK. Disabled people make up 60% of those who died from Covid. As we're feeling our way back to normal, we cannot forget the devastating impact of the pandemic on the disabled community. (1/2)
