Driving the same car for over 10 years is normal. Using the same phone until it breaks and packs up is normal. Taking food to work everyday is absolutely normal. Repeating the same clothes and shoes is very normal. Saying no to things you can’t afford is very normal. Be normal.

A friend of mine left his 25 lpa+ job to become a Swiggy / Rapido driver. And no I'm not joking. His parents called me asking me to talk sense into him, crying literally. He was going to get married next year. And just bought a car. I spoke with him, and the reason shocked me. He lives near a university that host a bunch of students and office workers. He is quitting his job to start a cloud kitchen with his 6 month runway, but he wanted to learn his menu before starting it. In order to learn which food his locality liked most, he became a food delivery boy for a few weeks. Now he has 12 SKUs in mind he can sell for cheap at high volume and his model shows he can start getting profits in 3-4 months. His parents are still against it. And apparently many of his friends have made fun of his decision. He has been telling me stories of how even watchmen will now scream at him like a sub human just because he's using a lift instead of stairs. But he is still going through with it, and I support him 100%. I just hope it pans out well for him.

Ordered on Swiggy. The delivery person came in time. He was a very poor man, around 45 years of age, tired and depressed by the looks. I was shocked to see his condition (never saw someone so 'poor' deliver an order). Gave him a good cash tip, Diwali sweets and a cold drink. Wished him well. He was very surprised and gently said 'thank you'. It's sad how much pain and destitution there is all around us, every moment. Do whatever little you can, to as many as you can, whenever you can.

I’m turning 41, but I don’t feel like celebrating. Our generation is running out of time to save the free Internet built for us by our fathers. @LizzyDoveEEE I think it’s a split lead. It’s going to require them to adjust the sequel to match Leo’s age. Which is still kind of silly.

No shade to Leo, at all. I hope he’s in Heat 2, as Hanna (the actual lead, mind you). That would be amazing and he would crush that wild, age-appropriate, intense role. But once again, Austin Butler and his profile and talent have been exploited for hype and clicks to help keep a project in the news, only to be (apparently) chewed up by the suits. The universe owes this guy an actual juicy project and a proper release date and marketing campaign. Fucking overdue. Or does he need to surrender and get fitted for a cape or a light saber or do a horror film or natural disaster film, only to then be told he’s not a serious actor? Come on, people.
