DE2

This week we are reading Superworm 🪱! We have been finding insects and making sentences using visuals. We have developed our fine motor skills by making patterns with stickers, threading and wrapping wool around worms. We even watched our wiggly worms grow in our experiment!

We have been reading We’re Going on a Bear Hunt this week! 🐻 We have used different materials to remember the story. We have enjoyed a sensory story! 💦 We have counted bears and matched colours. We have even made bear toast!

We have had a wonderful first week back in DE2, we have made Playdoh birds and nature faces! 🌳 We collected the rainbow on our nature walk and rode around outside to introduce our new topic - The Great Outdoors! 🍃

DE2 have enjoyed making chocolate nests, washing, counting and cutting eggs! We loved making fluffy chicks 🐥 and matching carrots by size! 🥕

Look at our beautiful Welsh artwork, we painted castles and daffodils. We have enjoyed reading Zog, making Welsh cakes and exploring different activities inspired by Wales! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🏰 🌼

We had lots of fun making pancakes! 🥞

We have loved making and eating fruit and vegetable faces! Delicious and healthy! 🍋 🥕 🍒

We have been looking at healthy fruit and vegetables to keep our bodies healthy! Look at us cutting fruit, painting fruit, painting with beetroot, cutting and sticking fruit and drawing fruit! 🍌 🍎 🍊

We have been enjoying our outdoor reading area, finding letters and numbers in moon sand, pouring glitter water and drawing around each other with chalk! 📚

We have been making brains using playdoh, using colourful stamps to practise our letters, finding letters in jelly, using chalk to draw X-rays and feeling different body parts in our sensory trays! 🧠 🩻

What a fantastic morning making toast on the campfire! We loved the campfire songs. 🔥 🎶

This week we have been enjoying our new hospital role play area, naming our body parts, using our fine motor skills to put pasta on skeletons, making faces with 2D shapes, practising writing and seeing how many blocks we need to go around our bodies! 🩻 🚑

We loved getting a present from Father Christmas yesterday! 🎅 🎁

Feeling festive with our Christmas hats on ready for our Christmas dinner! 🎄

We have green fingers, planting flowers, bulbs and making seed dumplings 🌸. We have collected leaves and made some leaf rubbing art 🍂. We made our own salt dough to make diya lamps for Diwali 🪔!
