@LlanviewPA My favorite actress Genie Francis came up with the idea that Laura was on Cassadine Island long enough to have had a baby. She gave that idea to Bob Guza. I think she knows her character well enough to write a storyline for Laura.

I legitimately could not imagine being so arrogant as to tell an actor who played a character that they love (as a fan) that they are wrong about what that character would/wouldn't do. Fans cannot & will not EVER have more authority over a character than someone who played them.

You guys already know which actors are the experts and I would trust to write their characters’ Bible. Kassie is absolutely one of them. Becky is clearly another. I also heard Anthony Call from OLTL and Peter Bergman from Y&R are the historians for their shows. But they’re rare.

@ThePeakyBlinder BK is a good actor. I loved him in Banshees of Inisherin but IMO he’s miscast as Duke Shelby. Conrad Khan was a better fit for the character.

Honestly, it depends on the actor. Some of them are walking/talking encyclopedias for their characters and shows. Some only like things when they’re front and center and only like romances that are skewed in their favor.
Fans watch, rewatch, discuss, obsess, write FF.

@kclynne35 So it’s about etiquette, not the rule. I often find that fans actually know better than the actors about characters but I agree that nobody should confront them to their face.

@LlanviewPA And that's my point. Fans can disagree but we don't get to be jackholes in their faces about it. I disagree that Holly is the love of Roberts life. Tristan Rodgers had other feelings. I don't get to sit here and say he's wrong because my opinion is different.

@kclynne35 You’re only using examples if you’re favor. If Becky said Finn was the love of her life, she’s be wrong. I agree telling an actor they’re wrong to their face is wrong but that’s more about etiquette. They’re still wrong but you don’t have to tell them that.

@LlanviewPA And you can disagree until the cows come home but if you have the arrogance to tell Genie that she's "wrong" - that's... a choice. But a better example would be Elizabeth. If Becky said Lucky was the love of her life - you as a fan don't get to tell her she's wrong. 🤷🏼♀ Sorry.
