Despite all the walking, I had the most amazing time in London exploring higher education pathways with the Seren programme and four fabulous sixth form students.

A very informative session with Izzy from the Reaching Wider Mentoring Project, providing Sixth Form students the opportunity to be mentored by current university students.

A big thank you to Careers Wales and Tata Steel for speaking to our year 13 students about Apprenticeships.

An amazing evening spent at Newport Cathedral for the unveiling of the Lady Rhondda statue!! Holly was chosen to have her hand casted as part of the statue design through her role on the Senior Prefect Team focusing on Women’s empowerment.

Third and final sixth form open evening. An opportunity for Year 11 students to sign up to sixth form and make their provisional subject choices. 3pm-5pm @Llanwern_High Followed by @CountyCommunity final open evening 5pm-6pm

Another excellent game for the Football and Education programme students against Plymouth. If you are interested in joining the programme for September 2023, there is one last open evening on 23rd March, 5pm-6pm at Llanwern High School.

Great effort from our Applied Science students at Llanwern High 6th Form. They were carrying out a practical investigation in order to calibrate pipettes.

Amazing turn out for a workshop delivered to our Year 12 and 13 students who are aspiring to go to University. A massive thanks to Dr Karl Devincenzi from Exeter University. @Llanwern_High
