Pitch Black and Chaos Rising are good sets. To me they are even in quality. I would give these sets around a B Grade. Looking at the cards below (ignore the Japanese cards/pricing, set has not released yet) I left the Golds out as they are obvious "Chases", I instead wanted to compare the depth difference Both of these sets are powered by their Main Chase cards, Greninja & Darkrai The difference to me is that Chaos Rising has a DEEP list of Illustration Rares and no real desirable SIRs outside of the Greninja while Pitch Black has some better Special Illustration Rares and not as deep of an IR list. They are both rather enjoyable to open as well. There is also talk that Pitch Black's Darkrai could reach Lost Origin's Giratina popularity status. I probably would guess not but who knows there. HOWEVER, these sets will most likely get destroyed in value over the coming months with everyone focusing on 30th Anniversary, Delta Reign and Ascended Heroes. I can foresee Pitch Black and Chaos Rising being the Chilling Reign and Astral Radiance's of the Mega Evolution Era. Not the best but also nowhere near the bottom (Perfect Order). I will be looking to target slabs and singles of both of these sets around early Fall to early Winter. Right as the market is in the heat of 30th, Delta Reign about to release and rumors swirling on what the January Set will be (which is usually crazy)
