Robert Kirkman confirmed he personally wrote the most divisive episode in Invincible history — and defended it with a Dave and Busters analogy. "If you're building a season that's going to Disneyland and you have an episode that's like, 'No, no, no. Let's go to Dave and Busters instead real quick.' I can see how people might be like, why aren't we at Disney World?" Does a showrunner get a pass for a weak episode when they're self-aware enough to admit it?
