Lesotho 🇱🇸 wants to renegotiate its water deal with South Africa 🇿🇦 .
Through the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, water flows from Lesotho to Gauteng, including Johannesburg.
Right now, Lesotho earns about $200 million a year, around 10% of its economy.
But the deal was signed in 1986, and Lesotho says it’s outdated.
They now want higher royalties and better compensation.
Talks are expected to begin in April 2026.

🚨 GIVE US THE LEAGUE.
Amakhosi Make Their Move!
Kaizer Chiefs have strengthened their squad with the arrival of Grant Margeman, adding fresh energy and intelligence to their midfield ahead of the new campaign. 🔥
Margeman is a player who thrives under pressure — comfortable in possession, sharp in decision-making, and always looking to dictate the flow of the game. His style brings a different rhythm to the Kaizer Chiefs setup, something fans have been craving. ⚽
📄 He joins on a 3-year deal
💰 Transfer valued at around R2 Million
This move isn’t just about adding numbers — it’s about building a midfield that can compete, control matches, and deliver results consistently. Chiefs are clearly thinking long-term, and Margeman fits perfectly into that vision.
Supporters can expect a more composed and structured midfield, with better transitions and smarter play in tight situations.
One thing is clear — Naturena is cooking something serious this season. 🔥
Welcome to the family, Margeman! ✌️

English

@sbu_sbuda90174 @zibusiso431 There is no better party that is better than the ANC.
None.
The ANC transformed the EC from deeply underdeveloped state.
If one may ask, why do KZN people vote for IFP a party that has been leading them since late 1970s?

Police Minister Senzo Mchunu Demands Evidence from KZN Commissioner in Explosive Corruption Row
On special leave Police Minister Senzo Mchunu has hit back at KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, demanding that he produce concrete evidence to support explosive allegations of political interference and collusion with criminal syndicates.
In an interview with SABC News on Friday evening, Mchunu who is currently on special leave insisted that Mkhwanazi has provided “no evidence whatsoever” before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry or Parliament’s ad hoc committee. “The allegations against me are untrue and unfounded,” Mchunu said, accusing the provincial police chief of acting as a complainant without backing up his claims.
The public clash stems from Mkhwanazi’s dramatic media briefing in July 2025, when he alleged high-level corruption within South Africa’s criminal justice system, including political meddling in police operations and links between senior figures and organised crime cartels. His testimony prompted President Cyril Ramaphosa to establish the Madlanga Commission, chaired by retired Constitutional Court Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga, to probe claims of criminality, political interference and corruption in law enforcement and the judiciary.
Mkhwanazi specifically criticised Mchunu’s decision to disband the Provincial Priority Crime Task Team (also known as the Political Killings Task Team) in KwaZulu-Natal, suggesting it hampered efforts against syndicate activity. Mchunu has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, maintaining that his actions were administrative and that he has no ties to criminal elements.
The commission’s hearings have laid bare deep divisions within the South African Police Service leadership and continue to dominate national headlines. Mchunu’s latest intervention comes as the inquiry presses ahead, with an interim report already submitted to the presidency earlier this year.
The Madlanga Commission is expected to deliver further findings as it resumes after the Easter recess.
