What a messy time it’s been with heart failure again. Upgrading from 400 mg ubiquinone to 1 g liposomal ubiquinol seems to be helping, but 1/4 tablet Lasix once has wrecked my body for weeks now and either that or the chronic migraines triggered cachexia again, which is very bad.
I’ve accepted years ago that Christmas is not a part of my life. It belongs in a world which I can only access in fleeting glimpses. But this year that feels quite sad after most of the people left in my life bolted out because of my heart failure.
@DiamonDie Damn, so sorry to hear that! Even if it is simply the reality of it, like you say.
While it of course doesn't help much practically speaking (if only it did!), I'm pulling for you.
Not sure how much BPC-157 has helped my heart failure, which improved for a while but seems to have taken a turn for the worse in last 2 weeks, but has sure helped the cachexia. I lost so much muscle very quickly and that’s still very visible, yet minimal functional impairment.
@DiamonDie Belated congratulations, Maija. Ashamed to say that I only thought about it now! Hope that the overly pricey chocolate still added a bit of extra flair to the day.
Today’s my birthday and I didn’t get any presents (adulthood sucks), so I bought some way too expensive pismaniye chocolate because I love pismaniye (and chocolate, but that goes without saying) and wrote myself a poem.
@DiamonDie For me, Spring is often a pleasant reminder of how many cherry trees there are in my area. Indeed, they always look amazing at this time of year.
Spring is such a wonderful time in the Balkans. Or maybe I'm just easy to please. One blooming cherry tree = nice. Many blooming cherry trees = excellent. Tons of cherry trees with pretty traditional bracelets tied to them to celebrate the season = even better.
I bought two cyclamens in a week because Lidl turned out to have variegated ones that look like candy. :-P I had a cyclamen live for 11 years in the past, blooming for for over half of that time, but usually they perish very quickly, I suspect because stores overwater them.
Horrible adrenal crisis yesterday evening, I was totally out, wasn't sure if I was going to make it (seeking medical care is not currently an option) but here I am still. At this point, it's just "oh well". Seems like it's chop wood, carry water for a while longer.
I had never attempted painting a cat before and in retrospect, a tortoiseshell-type coat isn't the best one to start with. :-P This is "Jez dreaming in light language" for @nobuhojimichaan.
It feels like ever since I got a new, smaller zamioculcas, my 20+-year-old one has been making more new stems than usual. I wonder if it's a coincidence or due to some sort of plant hormones buzzing around.
@FrankBryance I very fondly remember breaking the joystick I was using to play this and pancaking my spaceship on the outside of the bigger spaceship I was supposed to be protecting. Good, pancakey times...
