LiUNA Local 837 was chartered on June 18, 1950, today the local represents 5,000 workers in the Hamilton-Niagara, Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo Region.

Yesterday Team LiUNA participated in the Around the Bay Road Race! This year team LiUNA raised over $130,000 for vital equipment needs @StJoesHamilton
Over the past 12 years Team LiUNA has raised over 1.3 million dollars since joining the Around the Bay Race!

Today, I celebrated the grand opening of LiUNA Local 837’s new training centre expansion in Cambridge. Supported by our government’s $8.8 million investment, this facility will help protect thousands of Ontario workers by training them for good-paying, rewarding jobs in the skilled trades.

Today, I was deeply honoured to receive my 50-year pin as a proud member of LiUNA.
Receiving this pin alongside the giants of LiUNA who built this union and fought for the broader labour movement was profoundly moving, including two 70+ year Members who worked with my father.
