Shout out to my dawg Des (she’s not on twitter) for getting me a D Rose figure tonight! She was there supporting Sophie as the Bulls were honoring her company Constant Agitation Film Lab

The rationalization of Billy Donovan by Bulls fans insane. I get he shouldn’t be the main guy catching blame but what are we doing? I hear “Phil Jackson this,” “Tex Winter that” and the standard this organization needs to hold itself to. Yet we are this locked on BD? Cmon lol

So…about that leap… This by no means is a diss or victory lap. It’s a reality check. The Raptors took a leap with their core. This is something the Bulls should aim for however it’s going to take luck and a lot of strategy this offseason.

@mkhoops2 Now Ant is one of the best shooters in the league. I do believe there could be a method behind the “madness” (ex: Giddey no longer taking that horrific floater) but it’ll always circle back to the roster flaws.

@LocalBullsFan I just saw this. I smiled. I think what Billy is trying to do is the same thing most coaches want tbh. I genuinely don’t think this is a big deal. If anything, people were trashing Finch at one point for pushing Ant into more 3s.

The Chicago Bulls have not "prohibited" midrange shots. The Chicago Bulls have not "prioritisied" midrange shots. There is a difference. This approach is a good and basic tactical decision. This is a non-issue. Thanks for your attention on the matter.

@LocalBullsFan As the older players are getting phased out. The next generation is arriving fast, at the player and coaching level. The Podcaster level, too, lol.

@LocalBullsFan I suppose I look at it this way: there are so many dumb things the Bulls are doing, more generally, that the shot profile of this team (which I think is good) doesn’t even register for me as a problem

@mkhoops2 I generally don’t think it’s a bad idea to have but the end result wasn’t the best

@LocalBullsFan It’s a last resort. You’re right. And I think that’s how it should be for this team, who is largely all role guys, and you never really want role guys taking these shots, largely because they’re bad at them, they’re bad shot, and this team doesn’t have the margins to withstand it

@ShareBullsLove Yeah a lot of the older coaches are being phased out. Guys in their 30’s and 40’s are being hired rather quickly

@LocalBullsFan Honestly, I think Billy has served his purpose as an NBA coach. I hate to say it, but like Doc, it's time to retire. But I can see him stay with the Bulls in some capacity, maybe.

My train of thought isn’t Mid range = success It’s more so the excuses for Billy are exhausting. We complain about standards but a mid coach is somehow the exception to this standard.

@mkhoops2 I interpreted that as a last resort option which does mean it’s not prioritized however if they have a solid look in the mid range before then they should be able to take it. I get certain guys shouldn’t take the shot altogether but it may cause overthinking for players

@LocalBullsFan In the first sentence he said that, which is all people are gravitating to. In the very next sentence, he says they could be taken deep in clock. If so, they’re not prohibited, just not prioritised. As I noted.

@ShareBullsLove No doubt Billy will and should find another coaching job after the Bulls. Guys like him and he leans into his players strengths more often than not. IMO his performance in Chicago has been overblown and does not live up to the lip service of fans who defend him.

@LocalBullsFan I'm not sure. I don't understand why a HOF coach would want to be coaching a rebuild? Billy said after the season, he will sit with AKME and see if they are on the same page. He might not be back. But it will be his choice. He's a good soldier, though, and coaches what he's got.
