I do like high power #laser such as pulsed #thuliumyag #thulio by @DornierMedTech … but having all this power available does not mean necessarily to use it all in every case! Look in this case of a difficult impacted ureteric stone: I used only 0.6J-10Hz (total of 6 watts out of 100!) firing in the center of the stone in order to have an efficient lithotripsy while directing always the energy only onto the stone avoiding ureteral mucosa injury and the risk of postop stenosis development … and this is possible only with this setting!Obviously it would have been completely different firing on a bigger stone in a renal pelvis or in a calyx with perfect view or in case of #MINIPERC when higher energy can be delivered! It is like when u drive a car… even though u drive a Ferrari, this does not mean that u have to go 200km/h in the city center! An old adage by 🕷️man was saying … With great power, comes greater responsibility! #ETCE

BN88: 150 micron laser fiber are recommended with TmFiber laser to produce really thin dust. But be sure the fiber outside the F-URS is not in conflit with your left hand. If you squeeze it against the F-URS, it can break and then it hurts…
