This is Witt, my undergrad institution, in Springfield, OH. All over Springfield violence is threatened against the Haitian community and community as a whole because of lies spewed by DJT. Words matter! Springfield needs help, not hate. Leaders should help, not spread hate.

This summer was hard with the passing of my father and my son seriously injuring his hand. I realized that academia gives you freedom in your schedule, but is not a place that gives support. Things can be delayed, but many aren’t patient. Work shouldn’t come before humanity.

I hope everyone had a Memorial Day that brought them some joy. I am thankful my brother is safe and somber as two people I grew up knowing, Dan Patron and Aaron Seesan, did give their future. My heart is with those who are hurting today. Thank you the sacrifice.
