@oldgoldsot @mruwu1 this disproves your point this is a whale design that gives diety, has markings, and DOESNT look like kyogre. I dont see this and think kyogre. so this proves ypalworld could have had these things and not looked like a kyogre clone.

@mruwu1 And i like the design! But this proves my point, It looks lile a white version of kyogre (more like kyogre looks like it) Big hand fins, striped patterns, Even 2 lower back fins that spreads into smaller tails, deity holy whale themes have same stereotypes

@Aquabzs1 @Ra2byou thats why i brought up pawmot. they have an electric hedgehog in this game and thats cool and it's own thing, but if they made something like pawmot, the cheek circles and bipedal rat thing, you cant be mad when people compare it to pikachu

@Aquabzs1 @Ra2byou there are some pals that give me vague hints of one pokemon or another wile looking like their own thing. the sheep ball is like wooloo, but those are just sheep ball. they are just similar. but this one took two of the more striking parts of the design.

@CJLaBella89 @vspxrr you people look at pikachu and pawmot and act like pawmot isn't an offbrand pikachu, and that's from the same company. this is clearly trying to give off the vibe of kyogre while trying to be "different enough". if anything people calling it kyogre means they likely suceeded

@CJLaBella89 @vspxrr thats more so you are picking at small differences. they the designs are different, but it took the largest parts of kyogre's design as the base. it's not plagerism, but the inspiration is so blatant. it doesnt have to be "kyogre, but orange" to be called out

@JudgmentalThe is it even the same joke? one is, "my big secret isnt that i'm bigfoot, it's that i'm gay" one is background sex to annoy barbie, and the third is the horny owl being horny. i'd get it if it was the same "i dont know what to do here, SEX" but this is just the show

@DoodlyKrow @Ra2byou i could go through each one and explain how they are "not pikachu". they all have differences, but they are all pikachu. palworld has a lot of designs that look like they were inspired by specific pokemon. which is fine, but I think it's weird that people pretend they arent

@DoodlyKrow @Ra2byou bro. these are all different designed pokemon below the pikachu line, but they are all clearly riffing on the design. electric rodents with cheek marks. they are all just pikachu clones. this design is clearly inspired by or riffing on kyogre while trying to set itself apart

@AssCamelly21988 @YhwLord meanwhile the dumb husband trope has devolved t where characters like peter, homer, richard, are too dumb to function most times. the trope is so active they made a show, "keven can f himself" about it, with a focus on the wife enduring that level of stupidity as a normal person.

@alkaluine other examples, sokka and katara. they toned down kataras "motherliness" and sokkas sexism. you CAN make changes to core character beats, but the show doesnt replace those with anything else. so they stripped away parts of their arc, but don't give them NEW arcs to hit.

@alkaluine one example. making bumi cynical and mad at aang. i like the bold change. they ruin it though by making Aang not "run away". in the og, Aang felt guilt because he ran away, so making bumi hate him for it is a cool idea, but in this version he wasnt running from responsibility.

@shadydoorags It's similar to Aang the point wasn't **just** that aang stood his ground. Aang needed that, but Toph needed to teach in a way Aang would get. it was about a teacher student dynamic. Aang only moved the rock because instead of calling him a wuss, toph said he had "the stuff"

@shadydoorags Korra wasn't sticking with it enough, but Tenzin wasn't adjusting his teaching style. BOTH of them were wrong. but Korra needs to apply what she learned in situations that work for HER, so when she needed to "be the leaf" in the ring, she had the pieces, and the place to use it

@alkaluine @youfreakinnerd one is animated, and the other is ...animated. you know sea serpents like that arent real, right? the point isn't that it's not the same, the point is that it's worse. they should have tried to play to the strengths of live action instead of poorly trying to mimic cartoon action.
