@LodossDX @NotSylviarill How are you too fucking stupid to Google. I’m not entertaining you disingenuous dumb fucks. Yes they pay the tariffs, then they increase the cost accordingly to recoup losses, IN THE END WE PAY IT.

@BaneWruse @NotSylviarill Not really how it works. The company importing the supply is the one that pays the tariff. The cost is usually passed on to the consumer. Also, tariffs are still in place and Nintendo still has to pay them when importing systems, accessories etc.

@NotSylviarill - customers pay tariffs, not the business ( otherwise Nintendo wouldn't be able to sue) - their documents say they ate SOME cost but not all, and increased cost worldwide to cover that loss ( again, this is why they sued) - If nintendo is, then we are, since we paid it

@ZekeWhere I've gotten refunds from a few companies for charging me too much for whatever reason. One of them being my rental agency. If this goes through somehow and they win against Nintendo it'll set a precedent that would be amazing for consumer protections.

@wilsenal Yes? Sony wants a monopoly over the games industry. In terms of game industry revenue Nintendo is ranked 7th. Much worse players out there. Sony, tencent, Apple etc. Go try to beg Apple for a tariff refund lol

Nintendo refusing to refund consumers for tariff costs is a terrible look. They could’ve at least offered affected customers an eShop credit or some kind of goodwill gesture. Instead, they chose to squeeze fans and call it business as usual. $NTDOY at $11.00 btw 📉

Nintendo says consumers are not legally entitled to tariff refunds on products they’ve already bought. The company’s core argument is straightforward: Nintendo or its retail partners set the final price, and buyers made a voluntary decision to pay it. gamedev.net/news/nintendo-…

@ThornVaux @Polygon Logical fallacy. 80% of systems sold doesn’t mean that people owning those systems are buying physical games. All of the data shows that 80% of PS5 game sales are digital, regardless of what kind of PS5 most people have.

@Polygon Perhaps they should do a quick survey of the number of physical disks PS5 owners have. They may find that since about 80% of systems sold have a disk drive that a significant number actually have physical games and that there digital numbers are biased with PS+

@PenPlays_ So Nintendo has no obligations to pay their customers back, but the government has every obligation to pay Nintendo back. Good to know Nintendo just wants to pocket their fans' money.

>Nintendo raises prices due to economic factors raising costs, using our money to cover their butts >Factors no longer apply >Ninty is refunded the money that forced them to raise costs >Ninty feels entitled to the money that covered their butts anyway. Won't lower prices Hmm...

@stephentotilo It's an interesting case because Nintendo explicitly mentioned tariffs when they increased prices for Nintendo Switch and peripherals, unlike Microsoft and Sony

@PpollingNumbers LOL! They polled a Harris +6 electorate when the actual result was Trump + 2 plus. Jackson’s internal is far more reliable than this mess. But whatever floats your mid summer boat I guess.
