Nintendo says it is under no legal obligation to pass US tariff refunds back to gamers, asks court to dismiss class action lawsuit. ➡️ gamefile.news/p/nintendo-tar… Consumers "received exactly what they bargained and paid for" when buying price-hiked Nintendo goods last year.

Nintendo might be receiving a refund for the money it spent on U.S. tariffs, but it claims it's under no obligation to pass that money back to consumers — even though they paid higher prices for Switch 2 products. bit.ly/4bRH1lS

I BEG Y’ALL free yourself of this parasocial attachment to entertainment companies for better or worse. they will ALL always do what’s in their best interest. that doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be openly good or evil, but it IS a relationship that entails an ongoing series of negotiations. they will always opt to do what they think they can get away with & THAT is our leverage as consumers. we are collectively in control of what that is. HEAVY on the *collective* because what YOU want isn’t always in line with what the MAJORITY even cares to want. y’all gotta stop taking everything so personal & actually speak with your wallet instead of just screaming at each other on social media.

Nintendo refusing to refund consumers for tariff costs is a terrible look. They could’ve at least offered affected customers an eShop credit or some kind of goodwill gesture. Instead, they chose to squeeze fans and call it business as usual. $NTDOY at $11.00 btw 📉
