Plymouth Argyle are closing in on the signing of QPR goalkeeper Murphy Cooper. It’s understood a fee in the region of £150,000, plus add-ons has been agreed. Murphy, 24, has also agreed terms on a two-year deal, with #PAFC having the option to extend by a further year.

St Helens clearly the story here but Olly Ashall-Bott is a brilliant story to serve as proof that dropping down to the Championship needn't be the end of a career at the highest level. What a player he has turned into since moving to Toulouse. A joy to watch

Magic Weekend at Everton Day 1 almost over. Thoughts people? - York played well. Huddersfield are dire, hard to see any positives for the club. Zilch. - Cody Hunter is a player on the rise. - Why can't we avoid obvious kit clashes? - Hull FC improved, but too many errors and KR with enough to just get over the line. - A vital win for KR that eases some pressure. - Busted Warrington error-prone and started terribly. - Leigh building real momentum, that's their fifth win from their past six games. - Brilliant long-range try from Davey Armstrong. - Great atmosphere in the Hill Dickinson Stadium, which is a fantastic venue. - Let's do it all again tomorrow.
